Matcha Latte with Strawberry Sweet Cream

As you may know, I am a chronically-online TikTok doomscroller. 


Lately, my social media feeds have been flooded with strawberry matcha latte recipes, each with its own unique twist. Some stick to the classic matcha latte but add a strawberry infused cold foam, some add strawberry jam or muddled strawberries to the bottom of their glass, and others I have seen use strawberry milk as the base to their matcha latte. 


I love social media for the fact that it allows people to think creatively, and easily share their ideas. I probably wouldn’t have found this recipe if it hadn’t popped up in my feed! 


This past week I headed to the grocery store to pick up the ingredients to make this recipe, and I was SO happy with the outcome! The sweet strawberries with the earthy matcha latte pair perfectly.

Ingredients: 

  • 2 Tsp. Matcha Powder

  • 6-8 oz. Milk of Choice

  • Simple Syrup to Taste 

  • 2 Tbsp. Heavy Whipping Cream

  • 2-3 Strawberries


Step 1: In a small bowl, add matcha powder, and about 2 ounces of hot water. Whisk vigorously until dissolved and foamy on top. 


Step 2: To your bowl, add simple syrup to taste. Whisk. 


Step 3: Fill a large cup about ⅔ with ice. Pour in your choice of milk, and top with matcha concentrate. 


Step 4: To a small blender, add strawberries, heavy whipping cream, 2 ounces of milk, and simple syrup to taste. 


Step 5: Blend until the consistency resembles melted ice cream. 


Step 6: Pour your strawberry sweet cream on top of your matcha latte. Enjoy!
